History

Early Years

The area that would become the Arts District was initially an industrial zone. In the late 20th century, urban decay set in, leaving many vacant buildings.

Artistic Revival

In the mid-1990s, a group of artists and entrepreneurs saw potential in the neglected warehouses and storefronts. They began moving in, establishing galleries, studios, and creative spaces.
